If you want to take part in research, we have a variety of opportunities and ways in which you can get involved. It is a central premise of the NHS that patients and service users are offered the best possible evidence-based treatments and supports, and in order to offer this the NHS needs health research to be undertaken involving people of all ages and backgrounds, from all of the country.
There are lots of different types of research, ranging from studies which observe people and gather their views to those that involve trialling new kinds of treatments or interventions. If you are interested in becoming a research participant, please speak to your treatment team at the Trust or contact the R&I office research@mpft.nhs.uk
You can also take part in the NIHR Participant in Research Experience Survey which takes place annually.
